EVALUATION: Question 1

Question 1:
In what ways do your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

The front cover of my Digipak is similar to other album covers by girl bands, such as this one:

This is similar in the sense that the girls are wearing similar outfits and the colour scheme is subtle. However, the girls are all in one picture, which is conventionally found in most similar products. In my digipak, there is a separation, I used individual pictures for each performer.
There is only one album cover that I found that has this feature, which I got my inspiration from:

I also found a Sugababes video that starts with the same idea that we had, which was showing the three girls' feet as they walk, before anything else. We hadn't seen this video before we got the idea, but it seems to be quite useful to show that the video is by a group and not a single performer.
