ANCILLARY RESEARCH: Analysis of 3 Advertisements

Florence And The Machine - this advertisement is very artistic, the image is very stylised.
The font for the information is simple and clean. However, the name of the artist/song names are much more stylised and more in the style of Florence.
The ad contains icons for iTunes and HMV, where the album can be found, and also the website of the artist.
What is unusual about this advertisement is that it does not include the album cover image.

Rihanna's advertisement contains her album cover, and the picture along with the writing are repeated on the advertisement. There is a lot of information there, including tour information and a promo period. We can find out that it is available on iTunes and the logos of the production and distribution companies are also included in the advertisement.

This advertisement by Daft Punk is different from the conventional advertisements - very minimalistic and there is not a lot of information on it. The name of the band and of the album are there, and so is the production company. However, there is no release date or any concert announcements - the release seems mysterious and this might be effective in making the fans pay attention to the band's activity after they see it.
