Planning - Looking At Websites

Because the Sugababes are no longer in existence, we looked at the trio consisting of the original three members (Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan) and their group 'MKS'. The website was simple, however, it contained typical conventional features vital for any band-site:

- Logo - Simplistic thin, black-fonted & sharp. This may be used to convey their attitude/personality

- Idents - Logos for social networking sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter & Tumblr)
- Embedded Video - It was a music video used to promote their new single 'Flatline'

- Hyperlinks - For Ticketmaster.com were used to display concert dates and tour information

A monochrome colour-scheme (Black, grey & white) was used to convey the simplicity behind their image. Overall, this website was rather poor, however this could be due to the fact the group's still trying to raise their profile.  I looked at Little Mix's website to see if I can notice anything used that wasn't featured in MKS' website.

For Little Mix's website I found the following that wasn't used in MKS' site:
- Banners - used to advertise a single as well as allow fans to embed the banners onto their own blogs
- Language - making the website accessible to anyone around the world, appealing to a larger audience
- More hyperlinks - used for merchandise, fan forums and newsletters
- Character profiles - used to give fans greater detail of the performers, enabling them to pick a favourite
Though MKS' website was a bit too simplistic, this is the website we'd rather go for and it follows our concept closer than Little Mix's.
