RESEARCH: Synergy

Artists try to create a brand identity for themselves by using synergy through different media products: album covers, teaser trailers, music videos, magazine adverts, billboards, merchandise. These will all have common features which will make the artist's image more recognizable. The features might be colour, text fonts, artist's appearance or props that will appear in all of these media products.

An example of a group that uses synergy to create a brand identity is  Little Mix.
The most recognizable feature of their media products is the colour scheme. They use very bright, fun and girly colours on their products.

On most of their products, we can see four symbols, each representing one of the girls. These are present on merchandise and on single covers: 













In their single 'Wings', the symbols are also present in the background when the girls are shown separately:



The video also features the bright colours specific to the group.
