Research: Overview of the class activity examining the appeal of music videos to audiences.
As a group we learned that different music videos appeal to different music videos. For example, a music video by Justin Timberlake would appeal more to women than men, in particular women aged around 16-30. A music video with Beyoncé in it would appeal more to men around the 16-30 age bracket as well. This is to do with how the artist presents themselves to the audience of the video. Below are the two artists music videos which highlight what we learnt from this class activity: that the audience you appeal to depends on the gender and the costumes.
